Are you willing to take a risk? Are you willing to risk a speeding ticket? How fast do you drive?  Would you be willing to snorkel with sting rays? What about snorkeling with sharks? Are you willing to sky dive or cliff dive? Are you willing to risk your financial security? What is your comfort level when it comes to risk?

We all have different levels of comfort in each situation. Our choice of risk determines our actions.

Would God ask you to take risk? Will He ask you to do something outside your comfort zone? What if He does ask, what would you say?

Abraham had a wonderful life...He was extremely wealthy. He had a beautiful wife, Sarah. He had it all. Then God said, "Abraham, I have a plan that will change the course of humanity forever. But it won't be comfortable, are you willing?"

Moses

Esther becomes one of  Artaxeres wives. She was a beautiful Jewish woman whom God placed in an uncomfortable situation of risking her life to save the lives of all the Jewish people in the realm.

If you ant to be involved in something great, you have to get out of your comfort zone.

Matthew 19:22-24
Keep the commandments, which ones?
All these I have kept. What do I still lack?
The young man went away sad, because he had great wealth.

When we choose safety over satisfaction. When we choose mediocrity over meaning. When choose the tangible over the intangible. We have chosen the comfort zone. Over time the comfort zone becomes confining and constricting. Your life loses meaning and purpose, but it's safe.

Luke 5:

If you choose the comfort zone over risk you are choosing to ignore many opportunities that would impact you and many others.

The rich young man walks away sad because He chose to stay in his comfort zone. Peter chooses to take the risk to go out and fish again after a long night of disappointing fishing. Peter is astonished at the overwhelming catch that began to tear their nets because ther wee so many fish!!

Peter went out because of trust in Jesus. He said, "Because You Said So I Will." BYSSIW.

If we want to grow our faith, we must get out of our comfort zone. Easy choices do not increase our faith. easy decisions and choices do not bring astonshment, but sadness.

What will you do when Jesus invites you outside your comfort zone? Do you trust Him?

Because You Say So I Will.
